Mastering emotions with your dreams
Getting the grip on emotions has become one of the main goals in the evolution of the mankind and consciousness. This is not only the question of wellbeing; emotions are also the key to our manifesting powers. Just as actors use emotion to embody the personality they have to play, it is possible to use emotions to identify with the reality that one wants to create. Feelings can create a very potent field for realising the vision one has in mind.
A lucid dream is a space that can be used to transform heavy emotion into a constructive one. It is well known that dreams communicate about emotions using the image of water. When one encounters a lake, a pool or any type of basin filled with water, it denotes emotional issues. This type of water represents heavy emotions that are stuck and stand in the way of natural energy flow. Another category is that of the healing water, which can be shown in the form of rain, a waterfall or a shower. Descending water has the potential of cleansing from the heavier emotions. This part is crucial as heavy emotions are the biggest obstacles to any manifestation.
The city was flooded by sudden deluge. Nothing was left visible except from a single path leading through the city, dug out in the ground. Through this channel a procession was taking place, resembling a trip of saints. The procession was led by a character with a long, grey hair, invoking the image of a hermit on a tarot card, carrying something that can be either a rod, a cross or a torch. People quietly moved across the whole city wading through the water, as if heralding something that was yet about to happen. Feelings of excitement and fear lingered in the air.
So, what happens when one sees still water in a lucid dream? One can choose to transform water into rain by stating the intention to do that. As soon as rain starts falling one can state the intention to heal a relationship with someone or simply remove emotional trouble from their life. The most prominent feature about those dreams is feeling the warmth of the rain falling on your hands and face. It always amazes me that a dream is an experience that can reproduce needed sensory experiences for the purpose of generating appropriate feeling. The warmth of the rain would actually feel as healing and comforting.
There is another, more advanced way to deal with the still water image, which is to take a plunge with the intention to emerge on the other side of the dream. In this case the water is used as a portal where heavy emotions are dealt with by transforming the whole reality hologram. This may not be as easy as it sounds, since in a lucid dream the notions from the waking state can interfere. The brain can suggest that a person may drown or have difficulties breathing under water.
To be able to work with dreams one needs to get used to the metaphoric dream language, which is more ancient and more expansive than our waking state mind. Interestingly, all reflective surfaces, such as water, mirrors or TV screens can be used as portals. More often than not I would encounter a screen in a dream, where I would spontaneously step into it and end up in another dream scene. Sometimes the logical part of the brain would stand in the way, making me think that I cannot fit into the small screen. I would then end up with one foot dipped into the screen hesitating to go further. On another occasion, I would state the intention to emerge on the other side which would more easily transport me to another scene.
Why are reflective surfaces portals one may ask? The dream uses old alchemical language, following the main hermetic principle that a macrocosm reflects itself in a microcosm. In the quantum field, one always projects the vision into a new momentum of creation which is constantly in the process of moving and re-creating itself fractally. Stepping into a reflective surface would actually be a metaphor for the universe collapsing onto itself, creating a neutral state from which a new moment can be birthed by spreading out into a new hologram.
Finally, it is good to say that when one works with dreams regularly, the dream can show what needs to be addressed first before one can manifest anything using dream planting techniques. Emotions are one of the first things to be tackled to be able to get into the full manifesting potential. It is something like a double-edged sword, the more intense one can feel, the greater the manifesting power, however, heavy emotions can create even more of the same thing if not dealt with. The key is to be the master of emotions lest they should be the master of you.
