Ancestry in our makeup
I was searching for a pool with a mosaic floor someone had described to me earlier, when I found myself in a building with a huge central space encircled by multiple level terraces. The pool revealed itself to me quite suddenly through a bird's eye view from one of the upper levels. It was small and part of a bigger dark hall. A pillar decorated with golden wheels divided the hall in four parts, the pool forming a relaxation corner. The pool had a majestic mosaic that was the mixture of art deco style combined with a Persian carpet. I could see someone bathing and there were also women sitting at the table close to the pool, drinking coffee. It gave the impression of a public bath or a hammam. I was very excited at the discovery of the pool.
Dreams are timeless in the sense that the information is never outdated. Even if you haven't understood the message instantly, the transformation still takes place. Many times, I recognized the meaning of certain dreams much later, upon seeing something that would trigger the memories of the dream from years ago.
This particular dream was triggered twice. First, when I found out that many mosaics that would automatically be attributed to Greek or Roman origin contained ancient Slavic symbols, pointing to a time older than either of the two cultures. A wheel or "kolovrat", one of the main symbols denoting the sun (hence the golden colour), was the main guiding thread of the culture who organized their way of living according to nature and the energy of different seasons.
The second time, it happened upon seeing the video featuring an ancient sunken ship, uncovered near Antikythera, the origin of which was puzzling. It was found in the part of the world settled by Pelasgians, one of the tribes belonging to the line of this ancient culture. The ship had a huge mosaic floor and one of the major findings was a peculiar mechanism containing wheels of various sizes in a rustic golden colour. It resembled a clock, but the one tracking the movements of the planets in the solar system, including solstices, equinoxes and moon phases. This could not have belonged to any post ice age culture based on what we officially know at the present-day moment.
The Toltec connection
The importance of knowing one's ancestry is something we may realize only later in life. The dreaming skills I had since childhood made me dive deeper in my mid-thirties into Mesoamerican Toltec culture, considered to have been the keeper of ancient lucid dreaming tradition. Practicing lucid dreaming with this system made me wonder why it worked so well. Another question was why I had encountered some of the corresponding archetypes in my dreams long before I even found out about it. After all, I originate from a completely different part of the world!
We could claim that consciousness is the same everywhere and that connecting to ancient principles, unspoiled by dogmas of subsequent historical periods, can trigger some original blueprints in us. However, there seems to be more than that. Lately, it has become known that ancestry is preserved in our genes, not only including the forgotten skills, but also values and the way of looking at life. Somehow, I knew this on a subconscious level simply as I was able to recognize things in myself before I would arrive at further discoveries.
The Toltec cosmology is much more related to ancient Slavic philosophy and myths than what may be initially thought. It is built around cosmic principles distinguishing between waking awareness, the dream world and universal emanations into gods of a higher order. Similarly, Toltecs held special connection to their ancestors, cherished the spirit of the warrior and saw lucid dreaming as preparation for conscious dying. They also had an equivalent to the Slavic "kolovrat" in the form of a cosmic cross.
The cosmic cross also represents the principle of four energies movement that underlies any creation. This reflects back to the Slavic Svetovid or "Worldseer" emanation looking simultaneously from four different directions as well as the "fire steels", encountered as a heraldic symbol on many Serbian artefacts through ages (including the present-day flag). The Toltecs further associated these energies with colours black, blue, red and white. These are also main remnant colours found on some ancient Slavic pre-Christian temples.
Russain scientist Nicolai Levashov featured Slavic-Aryan civilization in his studies ("Vedic" is often used as an alternative word). It spread almost over the whole world during the era before the last ice age period. This is a part of history where we have to dig into hidden texts and, perhaps, non-standard clues in order to comprehend it. The studies refer to ancient Vedic teachings brought to different parts of the world, which can explain why there is so much in common with other civilisations that later developed into something more specific to that region.
Ancestry as inner wisdom
Regardless of whether we are able to transfer external findings into a credible story, our own insights matter most to us. If there is an ancient knowledge that we carry, we are bound to find it throughout life and recognize as own philosophy and values. Some of us may see it in our dreams, however, inner wisdom will always find you. For me it was a second nature to dream and be able to read my own life between the lines. Just like one needs to read the cosmic runic alphabet that was the predecessor of all linear scripts. The connection to our ancestors as our main heritage will lead us to more knowledge and more answers.
